The activity panel will have 3 initial tabs the document activity feed, the collaborators panel and the directory. Version History, Citations and Discussions will be subtabs of the Activity Feed Tab. Commenting is a very important tool that we want users to use, this is why it can not be placed inside a filter as filters add complexity to the experience that many user will not use or understand. Due to this, basic experiences should be as easy to use and understand as possible.

All the elements in the feed should be clickable. When clicking on document updates this should show the version change in the main content just as it does on the current version history panel. Likewise, clicking on the discussions should open that thread to start commenting.

There are several option to represent the subtab for the activity feed.

All activity subpanels should have a read order from top to bottom that means that the lates activity will be at the top and the oldest will be at the bottom.

This will not show you everything that is happening in all your communities but it will show you everything that is happening in this community.
