Library

I am going to share my experience with the Library as a user to help Isabella with the new design.

    Things that I like

I find it very useful to use the Library as a place to see what is new.

I appreciate how comments are displayed, as it allows me to view the actual content of the latest comment.

I like that it is compact. I like that it is simple. I like that it is easy to scroll.

When I want to go to my Site, I often go to the Library instead of using the left sidebar.

    Things that I don't like

As in comments, I'd like to have more information for document changes. For example, the author and breadcrumbs.

I don't like that the read all button is hidden.

I hate not having a search bar at the top.

I HATE not having my accounts tab.

I would love to be able to filter by which Sites have mentioned me.

I would remove the collapse/expand functionality. More (here)

Basically, it offers me the same functionality than Whatsapp Home.

Navigate what is new on a Site from the Library

The expand chevron gives me a false expectation of navigate what is new. When I click the expand chevron my brain explodes with expectation of navigation, but it is almost impossible to offer a good enough experience of site navigation on the library, or at least with out rebuilding the whole site and panels functionality on the library. Why would we want that?

Lets just remove the chevron, and send the user directly to the Site. The same as Whatsapp does. You go directly to the Chat!

In conclusion when a click a Library Item, I still want to see what is new on the Site. With one click I should land on the Site Feed.
